Federal Court in New Haven

From the South

Interstate 95 North to Exit 47 (left hand exit "Downtown, RR/Station/Route 34 Connector). Go to far right lane and take first exit off connector (RR Station/Coliseum). Go straight on ramp; turn right at light onto Church Street. Courthouse is on right after third light across from the City Green.

From the North

Interstate 95 South to Exit 47 (Route 34 Connector). Follow directions above.

Alternate: Interstate 91 South to Exit 4, State Street. Turn right at end of exit, and left at light on to State Street. Follow State Street to Chapel Street. Turn right onto Chapel. At second light, turn right onto Church Street. The Courthouse is on the right, across from City Green.

From I-84 West

Interstate 84 West to Route 8 South to exit 15; turn right. At second light, turn right onto Route 34, which becomes George Street soon after you cross Ella T. Grasso Boulevard. Stay on George Street until you reach the intersection of George and Church Streets. Take a left onto Church Street. The Courthouse is at the third traffic light.

Federal Court in Bridgeport

From the North

Follow Interstate 95 south to Exit 27 (Lafayette Blvd), bear right onto Lafayette Boulevard, proceed to the third traffic light. The Courthouse is on your left. Take a right onto State Street and immediately get into the left lane. The parking garage is the first parking garage on your left (diagonally across from the Courthouse).

From the South

Follow Interstate 95 north to Exit 27 (Lafayette Blvd), proceed straight to the third traffic light. Take a left onto Lafayette Boulevard, go to the fourth traffic light. The Courthouse is on your left. Take a right onto State Street and immediately get into the left lane. The parking garage is the first parking garage on your left (diagonally across from the Courthouse).

Coming South on Route 25/8

Follow Route 25/8 to Exit 2 (Fairfield Avenue), proceed straight to the third traffic light. You are now facing the side of the Courthouse. Take a left onto State Street, proceed past the first traffic light. The parking garage is the first parking garage on your left (diagonally across from the Courthouse).

Coming from the Merritt Parkway

Northbound - Exit 49S, follow Route 25/8 directions above.

Southbound - Exit 52, follow Route 25/8 directions above.

Federal Court in Hartford

From the South

Follow Interstate 91 North to Capitol Area Exit (left exit). Take second exit - Prospect/Main Street exit. Go right at end of exit (left turns not allowed) and take left at the next light onto Main Street. Courthouse is on the left past the next light.

Parking: There is a parking lot on the side street to the right, across from the Courthouse entrance. There is also limited metered parking on the streets around the Courthouse.

From the North

Follow Interstate 91 South to Capitol Area Exit. Follow directions above.

From I-84 East

Follow to Capitol Avenue Exit. At end of exit take left onto Capitol Avenue. Follow to Main Street (ends at Main Street). Take left at this light, and the Courthouse is on the right.

From I-84 West

Follow to Downtown exit, to Columbus Street. Take a left. At third traffic light, turn right onto Arch Street. Follow to second light and turn left onto Main Street. Courthouse is on the left past the next light.

Federal Court in White Plains (Southern District of New York)

Via Bronx River Parkway

Take parkway North to Exit 21. At light make right onto Main Street. Go two traffic lights to South Lexington Avenue and turn right. At second light (Quarropas) make left. Building entrance is on immediate left with revolving door.

Via Hutchinson River Parkway

Hutchinson River Parkway North to I-287 (Cross Westchester Expressway). I-287 West toward White Plains to Exit 6. At bottom of ramp turn left to first light (North Broadway a/k/a Route 22). Turn left onto North Broadway to eighth light which is Martine Avenue. Turn right onto Martine Avenue. At fourth light (Lexington) turn left. At next light (Quarropas) make left. Building entrance is on immediate left with revolving door.

Via Interstate 95

I-95 to Exit 21, I-287 (Cross Westchester Expressway). Take I-287 west to Exit 6. At bottom of ramp make a left to first light (North Broadway a/k/a Route 22). Make left onto North Broadway to eighth light which is Martine Avenue. Turn right onto Martine Avenue. At fourth light (Lexington) turn left. At next light (Quarropas) make left. Building entrance is on immediate left with revolving door.

Via Metro-North

From Grand Central take Harlem Division line to White Plains station. From station walk one block East (you will cross Bank Street). Walk south one block to intersection of Lexington and Martine. Continue east across Lexington and turn south on Martine for one block. At next intersection (Quarropas) turn left. Building entrance is on immediate left with a revolving door.

From North or West of White Plains Via Tappan Zee Bridge

Take the New York Thruway (I-87) south and proceed across the Tappan Zee Bridge. Travel approximately one (1) mile after bridge toll booth and take the exit for Route 287 (Cross Westchester Expressway). Proceed on I-287 to Exit 5 (White Plains). Make a right turn at the end of the exit ramp on to Route 119 (Tarrytown Road). Proceed approximately one (1) mile and road will turn to left taking you under the railroad trestle. Proceed two (2) short blocks and make a right onto South Lexington avenue. At second light (Quarropas) make left. Building entrance is on immediate left with revolving door.

Federal Court in Manhattan (500 Pearl Street) Southern District of New York

Take train to Grand Central Terminal. Take the Downtown Lexington Avenue Express subway (not local) 2 stops to Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall. Go upstairs to Centre Street and walk north. Pass 1 Centre Street (New York City Municipal Building). The next building is the old federal courthouse (Foley Square). Then comes Pearl Street (there’s a security booth on corner). Turn right on Pearl Street and walk ½ block. On the left is 500 Pearl Street, the new Federal Court house.
