George J. Cahill, Jr.George J. Cahill, Jr.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, George J. Cahill, Jr. worked for ten years on the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, the Penn Central, and Conrail as a trackman, laborer, clerk, block operator, caboose inspector, yard and freight brakeman, and passenger conductor. During 1968-70, he was a corporal in the United States Marine Corps and served in combat as a rifleman in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Charles C. GoetschCharles C. Goetsch

Prior to joining the firm, Charles C. Goetsch served as a law clerk to a federal trial judge in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and to a federal appellate judge at the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Brown University, and holds a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and an LL.M. graduate degree from the Harvard Law School. He has been a Visiting Scholar and American Bar Foundation Fellow at the Yale Law School, and is the author of articles and books on legal and historical subjects. He has served as the Chairman of the Civil Justice Advisory Group for the District of Connecticut and as the Chairman of the Connecticut Bar Association's Federal Practice Section, and has moderated numerous seminars on federal court rules and practice. Over the past 30 years he has handled scores of railroad-related jury trials and appeals in the federal courts of Connecticut and New York, and for many years served as the Coordinator for the Metro-North Labor Coalition. He is a member of both the federal and state bars in Connecticut and New York, and has argued before the United States Supreme Court.

Scott E. PerryScott E. Perry

Prior to joining the firm, Scott E. Perry clerked for U.S. District Judge T.F. Gilroy Daly in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and was a litigator at Robinson & Cole, one of Connecticut's oldest and largest law firms. He graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science (where he was a linebacker on the varsity football team) and obtained his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He is licensed to practice law before the state and federal courts in Connecticut and New York.

George was hired at the age of 15 as a crew caller for the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, and went on to work as a baggage handler, car cleaner, engine preparer, linemen helper, electrical helper, yard brakeman, and passenger conductor. George served in the United States Marine Corps during 1946-1949. He was elected a Local Chairman of the United Transportation Union for four years, then General Chairman for 17 years, and International Vice President for seven years. He served as a member and Chairman of the National Railroad Adjustment Board, and also served as an Executive Board member of the Connecticut State AFL-CIO.
